A timber-framed building refaced in C18. 3 storeys painted brick. Tiled
roof. Bracket cornice. 1 cambered sash with glazing bars intact. Stringcourse
and keystone. Good C18 shopfront with slightly curved bow. Right hand doorcase
with rectangular fanlight. 2 steps.
Nos 38 to 44 (consec) and Nos 1 to 9 (consec) Butchery Lane
together with Nos 1 to 8A (consec) and Nos 10 to 16 Mercery Lane
form a group.
