House. Mid C18 and earlier. Coursed squared gritstone, graduated grey
slate roof. Direct-entry plan. 2 storeys, 2 bays with lower 2-storey, 4-
bay range attached to right. Main block: quoins. Central door in plain
stone surround. Flanking and first-floor 3-light flat-faced mullion
windows. Shaped kneelers, gable copings, end stacks. Range to right:
original openings blocked, C20 windows to first floor. Rear, main block:
board door to right of centre in quoined surround with shallow 4-centred
arch. Recessed-chamfered mullion windows of 4 lights to right of door and
of 2 and 3 lights to first floor. C20 4-light window ground floor left.
Photograph of c1870 in posession of owner shows that the right-hand range
was then a thatched single-storey outbuilding.
