Originally Peacock's School, built in 1636. Red brick. 5 bays divided
by high pilasters standing on high pedestals set on bases of stone, with
brick capitals and entablature. Above this a high parapet with 3 dormer
windows set in it, the parapet being heightened round them to make a complete
surround with pediments over, the centre dormer having a curved and broken
pediment and an oval window placed vertically in a recessed panel which
was inserted in the place of a sundial removed about 1900. Casement windows
with small square leaded panes.
Passage through the house at the east end. Contemporary wooden door with
12 divisions at the west end of the building. This building is scheduled
as an AM.

Nos 6,7,7A & Nos 9 to 17 (consec), Gate Piers, The Old Coach House, Gazebo
in garden of No 11 and Rye Working Men's Conservative Club form a group.
