Barn. Early C19. Tarred clay lump on a flint and brick base; south wall
partly in early/mid Cl9 brick, also tarred; glazed black pantiled roof.
6-bay plan with two threshing floors. East elevation has plank doors to two
gabled-porches; ventilation slits beneath eaves; clay lump lean-to with
double entry to south-east. One-storey and loft clay lump stable to north,
extending a short way around to the front in lean-to form: the gable end has
two stable doors, a C20 vehicular entrance and a loft door with small
ventilation openings either side. West elevation has plank double doors,
ventilation slits beneath eaves and two later C19 raking buttresses.
Interior: 6-bay clasped-purlin roof with later reinforcement including extra
purlins, strutting and 2 additional tie beams. Included as a complete and
unusual example of a large clay lump barn.
