Farmhouse to Home Farm (q.v.). Mid C19. Limestone ashlar, Welsh
slate roof, gable-end brick stacks with moulded ashlar capping to
right stack. Three-storey, 3-window. Central 4-panelled door in
porch with square columns and entablature, 2-light margin-pane
casement either side. First and second floors have three 2-light
casements, the centre one is narrower. Left return has margin-pane
French windows, C20 2-light casement, first floor has 2-light
leaded casement and C20 steel casement. Right return has 2-storey
extension with 2-light margin-pane casement, 4-panelled door and
hipped slate roof. Rear has C19 2-storey added parallel range, 2-
light casements, 3-light recessed chamfered mullioned window to
ground floor. Roof has coped verges. Attached to front is single-
storey range of outhouses with planked door and two 3-light ovolo-
mullioned windows, probably reset, corrugated asbestos roof.
Interior has planked doors and 4-panelled doors in moulded
architraves, stairs with stick balusters and round newels to front
and back, open fireplace with chamfered cambered lintel in room to
right of front door, chamfered beams with ogee stops. First floor
has reset C17 panelled door with cock's head hinges. A typical
example of C19 farmhouse with both classical and vernacular
features.
