Barn. Dated 1852 on doorway quoin, west side. Squared rubble in courses diminishing
to top of walls. Door openings enriched with boldly rusticated jamb quoin blocks,
arch voussoirs or lintols; each block with pseudo-primitive carving (faces, animals,
patterns) or vermiculated. Three bay storage barn: a large central doorway on
west side with three-centred arched head; keyblock, with slight drop, carved with
face. Top left hand quoin to jamb carved with initials:I.(?)B.A.Corresponding right
hand quoin block carved with date. Double doors with diagonal boarding partly
decayed, C.I. strap hinges. Two spaced keyhole vent slots to either side of doorway
at low level. Three regularly spaced doorways on east side with similar but less
boldly carved quoin blocks and monolith lintols. The north doorway is blocked
with rubble, but others retain diagonal boarded doors and fanlights of four panes
with vertical bars. A small window to either side of the south doorway. Six
regularly spaced keyhole vent slots at upper level. In apex of the north gable
an opening with dressed stone semi-circular arched frame. Interior not inspected.
