Public House. Late C18, refronted mid C19 and with late C19 extension.
Red Brick with Welsh slate and plain-tile roofs and brick end and rear stacks.
3-storey 2-window main range of 16-pane unhorned sashes underpainted stone
lintels. Bracketed eaves. On ground floor is a central doorway with painted
'Gibbs' surround and curved pediment with projecting lantern. 2-leaved
part-glazed door has cambered lintel with keystone female head in high relief.
Sash window to right and canted bay window to left. On left end is the
2-storey extension in similar style with a 3-light window on both floors
and doorway to left. 2-storey wings to rear. Interior: chamfered spine
beams, that in room to right with ogee stops. Mid C19 marbled slate fireplace.
Early/mid C19 cast-iron grate in attic room. Some engraved glass panels
in ground floor partitions. Old purlins partly visible in rear wing.
