Set back from Long Street and reached by lane between Nos 41 and 42 qv.
Cl8, ground floor altered early Cl9. 3 storeys and basement in red brick.
Plinth. Stone quoins. Hipped slate roof, Moulded stone eaves cornice.
Plinth, stone cornice over 1st floor windows. Slight central projection
with cornice broken forward over, and open pediment with moulded coping
springing from small coupled scroll brackets. 5 windows to 1st and 2nd
floors, sashes, glazing bars intact, all with stone sills and moulded stone
bolection surrounds. The ground floor altered in early C19 with lean-to
extension across front enclosing original porch with Corinthian columns.
The extension is in red brick on a stone plinth and has 2 sash windows,
glazing bars intact, flanking entrance. Stone bolection surrounds with
frieze end cornice. Over doorway a fine early C19 lantern supported by
an elaborate iron bracket with clasp leaf ornament.
To the left hand is a 2 storeyed early Cl9 wing of red brick with slate
roof. 3 blind windows and 2 sash windows alternate on 1st floor and the
ground floor has 2 tripartite sashes. All glazing bars intact.
Right hand return end to main block: one blind window 2nd floor, 2 dummy
windows on 1st floor and single storey extension.
Very beautiful garden setting with fine trees.
