Farmhouse C17, c1700, and take C18 with minor C20 alterations. Red brick
with a pantile roof. A single ridge and 2 gable stacks. Brick coped
gables with kneelers, 2 storey. L plan, earlier range to north. East
front, has a projecting gabled wing to the north, with a large glazing
bar sash, and above a 2 light C20 casement, and above a blocked window.
To the right a six panel door with reeded door surround, to the left 2,
3 light sliding sashes with glazing bars, above 2 smaller sliding sashes
and a 3 light casement. To the left a recessed extension, with a single
storey lean - to with a doorway and a single light casement, above a 2
light casement , with a similar window above again. Interior has chamfered
spine beams and various original plank doors, the north west corner room
has timber posts, probably the last remains of an original timber framed
building. The north range roof contains most of its original trusses,
purlins and ridge piece.
