Stable, now a cottage; mid/late C18; of random limestone rubble, rendered and
whitewashed. Mid C20 concrete tiled roof has stone gable coping, lateral
stack to left and ridge stack, both rendered. Single storey; sash window with
glazing bars either side of off-centre mid C20 boarded door. Further left is a
horizontal sash; all have painted stone lintels and sills. Stained glass
window to rear. Birthplace of Voltigeur, one of the most famous racehorses of
the C19, and winner of the Derby, St. Leger and Doncaster Cup in 1850. Cottage
adjoining right and mid C20 extension to left are not of interest. Dilapidated
