Road bridge over River Lynher. Circa mid C16, repaired in 1640 (datestone) and
widened on upper side in 1890. Large blocks of granite moorstone. Three 4-centred
arches of dressed granite, approximated 6½ - 7½ feet wide with hollow chamfered arch
rings and rusticated granite strings. The ashlar granite cutwaters on either side
are almost as wide as the arches and continue up forming two refuges to each parapet.
Granite and stone rubble parapets with rusticated granite coping.
The bridge was originally only 8½ feet wide and was widened in 1890 where the design
and the materials of the earlier bridge were copied.
