House and former wagon works. C16/C17 house, altered and refacaded C18 and C19, attached C18 wagon works to right.
Rubble, some roughcast, colourwashed, double-Roman tiled roofs, brick and rendered stacks. Two storeys to house, 4
bays, predomindantly 3-light casements; 2 door openings, plank doors, lias porch to left with thatched roof, rendered
porch to right with double-Roman tiled roof; further small door opening to extreme left, plank door. Wagon works with
forge to right, single storey and attic, casements with horizontal glazing bars and lapped glass; door opening to left
with plank door, to right large sliding plank door. Interior of house with 2 timber-framed partitions dividing rooms on
the ground floor, one with doorway with a peak-head frame, chamfered and stopped ceiling beams, 3 fireplaces with
wooden bressumers; forge with fireplaces with 2 large fitted C19 bellows, a rare survival. (VAG Report, unpublished SRO,
March 1973).
