Summerhouse. Circa 1899-1902 by Charles Dorman for James Manfield, a
Northampton shoe manufacturer. Timber on dressed ironstone plinth and
dressed ironstone rear wall. Stone tile hipped roof with projecting
rafter ends under deep eaves. Small single storey rectangular building
with Tuscan columns and strapwork motifs to risers under 3-light
windows with glazing bars either side of narrower central doorway with
small gable, with barge-boards, finial and panelled and glazed double
doors approached by flight of stone steps. RH (SE) side similar but
only 2-bays; rear has blind wall and NW side attached to garden wall.
