II
Headgear. 1911. Built ofsawn and braced timber. Built for a two-compartment hauling
shaft which was constructed shortly after 1909, when sinking on the new Wethered begun.
One of only two timber headframes remaining out of hundreds originally built to serve
Cornish tin mines, this is both a rare and significant survival in both the regional
and national mining contexts.
