Exterior c.1840, but the interior contains the remains of a C15 to C16 timber-
framed house. 3 storeys and basement stuccoed. Slate roof with bracket eaves
cornice. 7 windows in all with glazing bars to ground floor and vertical glazing
bars only to upper floors. 2 simple doorcases. The right side one having
rectangular fanlight. On the right hand side ground floor is a depression which
indicates the presence of a dragon beam. The restaurant on the ground floor has
a beamed interior and inglenook fireplace. Early C19 staircase with turned
balusters.
