Barn. Circa mid C17, extended in c18. Timber-framed on brick plinth; lime plastered with single zigzag pattern pargetted panels; the lower section weatherboarded. Corrugated asbestos sheet roof with gabled ends.
Originally five-bays with midstrey to the wider central bay on the north side, extended by one bay at the west end in the c18.
North elevation has large gabled midstrey to the left of centre with plank double doors and weatherboarding above, and small doorway on left. Late weatherboarded building attached to east end with low lean to hipped roof clad in pan tiles and doorway in gable above.
Interior: Frame intact, large storey post with slightly jowled head, large girt wall plate and side-plate; close-studding and some straight diagonal bracing trenched into the face of the studding. Much original wall framing reused in the C18 west end wall. Curved braces to tie-beams, except c18 bay which has curved brackets. Queen -post roof with tenoned staggered side-purlins some of which are raised timbers, and no ridgepiece. Most of the common rafters survive, pegged to the purlins. Carpenters' assembly marks on the storey posts. Midstrey roof has cellars and clasped side purlins.
