SHREWSBURY

SJ4812NE FRANKWELL
653-1/10/301 (North East side)
Nos.81-84 (Consecutive)

II

Row of 4 houses. Later C19, built as a single development but
incorporating earlier buildings. Brick with heavy Welsh slate
roof. 3 storeys, 4-window range, each house a single unit.
Outer 4-panelled doors and 4-pane sash windows with cambered
blue brick heads. Irregular spacing of units, and the
non-alignment of some upper and lower windows indicate earlier
core, and the central stack incorporates earlier brickwork.
Timber-framing exposed in rear wing.
