Formerly known as: David Lane Farmhouse DAVID LANE.
Farmhouse and adjoining barns and stables. Mid C18, with early
and mid C19 alterations and addition dated 1966. Coursed
squared stone with ashlar dressings and stone slate roofs with
2 coped stone ridge stacks. Coped gable.
2 storeys; 2 window range. L-plan.
Main block has, to south, two 3-light mullioned windows and
below, a 2-light mullioned window with a half-glazed door to
its right. Beyond, on either side, a 3-light mullioned window.
Left gable has a C19 flat-roofed porch with a transomed triple
Perpendicular lancet and in the return angle, a Tudor arched
doorway with hoodmould, and a single window. In the gable
above, a round window. Return range, to east, has a 3-light
mullioned window flanked to left by a 2 storey C20 window.
Rear of this range has a 2 storey lean-to addition with a
7-light stone mullioned window. To east, gabled wing, 1966.
Adjoining barns and stables to south. Single storey west
range, adjoining the house and parallel to the street, has a
central carriage entrance flanked by single openings with
pairs of carriage doors, all with segmental heads. To right, a
small casement. 2 storey return range, to left, has to left a
loft door and below it, a C20 garage door. To right, 2 larger
segment-headed carriage openings.
