GV II
House. Late C18/early C19. Squared, coursed limestone with
limestone ashlar dressings, ashlar gable stacks and a slate
double-pile roof. Double-depth plan.
2 storeys; 3-window range. Double-fronted with a cornice and
blocking course, coped gable. Round-arched doorway with
architrave, 5-pane fanlight and 6-panel door, with a
round-arched window above with 3/6-pane sash; flanking
full-height canted bays extend up through the cornice, with
6/6-pane sashes. Single-storey left-hand extension. Gabled C20
dormers with casements.
INTERIOR: details include a flagged through-passage divided by
a segmental arch on fluted pilasters, a dogleg stair with
stick balusters, shutters. Rear right-hand doorway with a
blocked fanlight and panelled door.
