Nos.15 AND 17 Plumbley Farmhouse
II
Farmhouse, now 2 houses. Early C17, incorporating part of an
earlier timber-framed building, with mid C19 addition and late
C20 alterations. Coursed squared stone and ashlar with ashlar
dressings and concrete tile roof with single ridge and single
gable stacks.
Quoins. 2 storeys; 3 window range. Front has a 2-light
chamfered mullioned window with C20 glazing, and to right, a
blocked single window with chamfered surround, under a common
label mould. To right again, an 18 pane stair light. Below, to
left, 2-light window with chamfered surround and to its right,
2 small blocked single light windows with drip moulds.
To right, beyond a boundary wall, a set back 2 storey block
with a 16 pane sash to the right, and below, a C20 door and to
right, a 20 pane sash, all with plain stone surrounds.
Left return has a 3-light mullioned window and above, a
similar window with drip mould. Below, a C19 French window. To
left, set back rear wing has two 2-light glazing bar
casements, C20, and below, a fielded 6 panel door with stone
cornice, flanked by similar single windows.
INTERIOR has an encased bay post in the rear wing.
