Farmhouse, now house. Late C18, altered late C19 and C20.
Coursed squared stone with concrete tile roof and 2 gable and
single ridge stacks, rendered. 2 storeys; 3 window range of
paired C19 plain sashes. L-plan. Below, off-centre 6-panel
door flanked by single paired sashes, and to right, a similar
paired sash. Rear has a large round-cornered wing with a C19
single storey addition. INTERIOR not inspected. Sir Francis
Chantrey, sculptor, was born here in 1781 (plaque on rear of
house).
