House. Mid C19. Red brick with yellow brick dressings and
Welsh slate roof. 2 storeys with attic and basement.
2-window range with side entrance. Main elevation faces the
river: wide gable to the right with slightly projecting
3-light wood mullioned and transomed window with pedimented
wood head on principal floor, and mullioned and transomed
oriel window alongside. 2-light casement windows on upper
floor, with stilted arched yellow brick hoodmoulds. Ornate
fretted barge-boards to gables, the eaves projecting on wood
brackets.
Elevation to Canonbury has wide gable to left with 2-storeyed
lean-to porch on inner face. Round-arched doorway with
6-panelled door. Stilted arched windows above. In the gable
over the porch, 3-light window with Gothick traceried lights
and shafts as mullions. Wide 2-light mullioned and transomed
stair window in return gable elevation, and 2-light mullioned
and transomed windows to its right on each floor. End wall
stacks.
