House. Mid-late C17, refronted mid C18, with an early C19
porch. Limestone ashlar with a large central brick ridge stack
and stone slate roof. Double-depth plan. 2 storeys and attic;
3-window range. Rusticated quoins to a deep coved cornice
returned at the ends, and blocking course; plinth. Architraved
doorway with a pediment and 6-panel door; a good Greek
Revival-style prostyle porch has steps up, paired Doric
columns on plinths, to an entablature with triglyphs, cornice
and blocking course. Shallow surrounds to 3-light flat-faced
stone-mullioned windows and 6-pane casements, with a central
first-floor window in similar flat-faced surround. 2 gabled
dormers, restored C20.
INTERIOR: details include chamfered beams, a left-hand early
C19 central dogleg stair with stick balusters and column
newels; collar truss roof.
