House, now shop and flats. c1500, altered mid C19, restored
late C20. Squared, dressed limestone, brick gable and rear
lateral stacks and a pantile roof. Single-depth plan.
2 storeys and attic; 3-window range. Double-fronted with
pilaster strips, plat band and a frieze; C20 door, restored
early C19 shop windows each side with panelled jambs, fascia
and cornice, each with 3 plate-glass panes, 6/6-pane
first-floor sashes, and a central gabled casement dormer.
INTERIOR: details include a 4-bay roof with threaded ridge,
wind braces between 2 sets of chamfered, stopped purlins, and
joists laid flush with the tops or the ties. Ground floor has
moulded C16 axial and lateral beams with removed corner
bosses.
