GV II

House, now health centre. Early C18, with C19 and early C20
additions and alterations. Restored late C20. Brick, with
roughcast front and plain tile roof. Side wall stack to
addition. Rendered plinth. Windows are mainly glazing bar
sashes. 2 storeys plus garrets; 5 window range. Central ashlar
doorcase with hood on foliage brackets, C18 6-panel door and
fanlight with Gothick glazing bars. To left, 2 sashes. To
right, a shallow wooden bay window, late C19, with 4 sashes.
Above, 5 sashes.
To left, additional wing, 2 storeys, 2 window range, with
brick quoins and pedimented gable. Shallow bay window with 4
sashes, and above, 2 sashes.
INTERIOR has an early C18 open newel staircase with double
twist and turned balusters, and intersecting handrail and
string to the upper flights. Cut string, ramped and scrolled
handrail. Stick balusters to landing. Moulded cornices to
first floor.
