Shop, now restaurant. Part of block principally occupied by
Nos 127 to 133 (odd) Portland Street (q.v.), being the further
end of the return side of that building. 1860, by P.Nunn, for
Louis Behrens and Sons; altered. Ashlar and brick (roof
concealed). Five storeys and 5 windows in continuous arcade;
ground and 1st floors have banded pilasters to the corners and
a moulded cornice (continued from Nos 127 to 133 Portland
Street); ground floor altered; continuous glazing at 1st floor
behind a screen of very slender shafts; arcades of tall
segmental-headed windows at 2nd floor and shorter round-headed
windows at 3rd floor, all with slender shafts, and the whole
under a stone band with keystones over the windows; band of
square windows at 4th floor, with similar shafts. Included for
group value.
