Accommodation bridge over canal. 1775-78. Designed by William Jessop. Dressed sandstone blocks. Humpbacked, single span bridge with semicircular, voussoired arch. Chamfered plinth to left and right of arch. Iron rope roller on NW corner of arch. Projecting string course. Low, slightly cambered solid parapet of large ashlared blocks of millstone grit. Parapet curves into round capped piers. The Selby Canal was constructed between 1774-1778 with William Jessop as principal engineer.
