Tomb of Alexandrina and Herbert Allingham, both died 1904. Carrara marble monument. Recumbent effigy of woman with lap dog within recess above base, between squat pilasters; pedimental mid-section with inscription flanked by wreaths; upper section of grieving angel with wreath over a demi-column. An exceptional example of Edwardian cemetery sculpture.
History: Allingham was a prominent surgeon who took his life, having accidentally infected his wife with syphilis.
