House. Early C18 origin, extended early C19, altered late C19.
Rubble limestone with graduated slate roof.
EXTERIOR: 2 storeys, 5-window range disposed 3:2; right part
lower; lean-to additions to rear. Large quoins. Taller part on
left: 6-panel, part-glazed door in ashlar surround within
gabled ashlar porch with round arch and stone slate roof.
To right of porch are quoins to a single-bay house now
heightened. C20 casements to ground floor beneath deep stone
lintels with arched soffits; 2 narrow casements offset to form
stair window to right of porch; blocked window to far right
with arched lintel. First floor: three 2/2 sashes with
projecting sills, one wooden lintel and 2 of stone. Chamfered
eaves band; ashlar end stacks with cornices, right end stack
has ashlar pots.
Lower part on right: 2 windows to each floor in dressed stone
surrounds with projecting sills and deep lintels with arched
soffits; casements with glazing bars, the lower-right window
has 30-pane iron casement with 4-pane opener. Dressed stone
surround to doorway on right.
Hipped right end to roof with rolled-lead ridges; corniced
ashlar ridge stack.
Rear: various windows include a 24-pane iron casement.
INTERIOR: ground-floor left room of lower part has cast-iron
grate in dressed stone surround. Stone-flagged entrance hall.
