Farmhouse. Early C19. Coursed limestone with ashlar sandstone
dressings; stone slate roof. Tudor Revival style.
EXTERIOR: 2 storeys, 3-window range; L-shaped plan with
5-window range left return. Chamfered plinth; large quoins.
Entrance front: rectangular stone steps to central doorway;
ovolo-moulded Tudor-arched surround with hoodmould. Windows of
3 lights to left, 5 lights to right and 2:2:4 lights to first
floor: all have casements with horizontal glazing bars in
double-chamfered surrounds, pointed-arched lights and
hoodmoulds.
Bay 1 has band across front gable with shaped kneelers and
gable copings; renewed ashlar stack with band and cornice is
set on ridge to rear. Right end gable also with kneelers and
copings.
Left return: cavetto-moulded, 2-light mullioned windows with
triangular-headed lights and mostly having iron casements with
glazing bars.
Restored stone-slated bellcote fixed to rear face of chimney
stack.
