Circa 1700, perhaps earlier. Very thick stone rubble walls cement-rendered,
slate roof, 2 low storeys. Open timber porch over glazed and panelled
door. 4 windows on each floor irregularly spaced, mostly modern casements,
with slate dripstone over ground floor. An upper window to left is in
a small gable. Modern additions at rear, built into hillside. Mrs Humphrey
Ward, and also G M Trevelyan lived here.
