A group of 8 churchyard monuments:-
MON 159: Headstone. 1844. Ketton stone. To ROBERT, son of
James & Mary Ann ELY. Palimpsest, mostly buried, reused in
1844. ON the west face of the stone is the original design,
now upside down. In reusing it the mason reversed it and
shaped the bottom edge to form a new top. The original
inscription in a cartouche reads: "...Christopher (?) son of
WILLIAM SMITH who departed this life ...of Feb. 1709 Aged....
Also four of their children".
MON 159a: Memorial to THOMAS JACOB. Not included in schedule.
MON 161: Coffin stone. 1831. Portland stone. MARIANNE,
daughter of Thomas & Ann YOUNG, 1831; HENRY SHADOW YOUNG,
1846.
MON 292: A coffin stone with rounded ends. 1847. AMELIA, wife
of Henry LOCKWOOD.
MON 294: Headstone. C18. Ketton stone. Design in bold relief
with a bellied cartouche, skull, flowers and leaves.
