Villa, now residential home. c1850-60, slightly altered.
Sandstone ashlar (now ribbon-pointed), hipped slate roof.
Rectangular double-depth double-fronted plan (plus C20
addition to rear).
2 storeys over cellars, 3 windows, symmetrical, the centre
breaking forwards; with clasping corner pilasters, a plain
frieze and moulded cornice, and a low parapet with a segmental
pediment to the centre. The centre has a rectangular porch
with corner pilasters, a semi-elliptical headed outer archway
with imposts, moulded head and keystone, and an entablature
with modillioned cornice and panelled parapet with
triangular-headed centre; a narrow one-light window in each
side with pilastered surround and stained glass; and panelled
and glazed inner doorway with narrow side lights and a
fanlight with stained glass; and, above the porch, a
segmental-headed window with a shouldered architrave.
Otherwise, the ground floor has canted bay windows with
cornices and parapets, sashed without glazing bars; and the
1st floor has windows with plain surrounds and altered
glazing. Central chimney with dentilled cornice. The 3-window
right-hand return wall has windows sashed without glazing bars
at ground floor, altered above.
The rear has (inter alia) a full-height round-headed arch in
the centre containing a doorway at ground floor and a
stair-window above.
INTERIOR: staircase with ornamental cast-iron balusters,
stained-glass window; some moulded plaster cornices; mahogany
fireplace surround in front left room.
