House. Circa C17; remodelled and extended circa early C19. Timber-framed with red brick nogging, partly rendered and faced in red brick; stone rubble plinth. Slate hipped roof with deep bracketed eaves; north wing has clay plain tile roof with gabled end. Red brick lateral, axial and gable-end stacks. PLAN: L-shaped on plan, the eaves of the main range to south and east were raised in the early C19 when the house was remodelled and extended to the west. EXTERIOR: 2 storeys and attic and single storey and attic north wing. Asymmetrical north front with exposed timber-framing on ground floor, large red brick lateral stack on left and brick-faced wing on right with exposed timber-framing in gable end; central 3-centred arch doorway with half-glazed door with Gothick glazing bars and C20 open porch; C20 casements with leaded panes. South, garden, front asymmetrical 6-window range with various C20 casements and 3-centred arch half-glazed door; timber-framing exposed on south front and on east end wall. INTERIOR: Moulded ceiling beams in the south and east range; chamfered ceiling beams and joists in north wing. Circa early C19 joinery including panelled doors, chimneypieces and cupboards.
