C16, C18. A 2-storeyed house in 2 attached parts. The western part is older
and much altered, with a north wall exposing a timber frame and a Tudor-arched
fireplace opening, indicating the removal of the northern part: the walling
is in red brick, with 1st floor band on the south gable, irregular openings
with Victorian sashes upstairs and casements on the ground floor. The largest
part has a symmetrical (south) front, with a slightly projecting centre at part
of 3 windows. Red tile roofing, hipped at east, with a pediment-shaped parapet
gable in the centre, containing a circular panel. Red brickwork, Flemish bond,
1st and 2nd floor bands, rubbed flat arches, stone cills, plinth. Victorian
sashes. Central doorway has a cornice on brackets and 6-panelled door. The
east front has 3 windows (4 blank) arranged symmetrically. The north elevation
was formerly of 5 windows arranged symmetrically but the western half has been
altered.
