House of early C17 formerly called Wakeners. Main entrance front of 2 storeys,
5 windows, irregular. Off-centre compound stack with cornice and flat modern dormer
in high pitched tiled roof. Tile hung 1st floor, banded plain and fishscale.
C18 and C19 iron casements, some leaded. Ground floor, of narrow red brick on
a malmstone block foundation, has later red brick quoins and dressings. Modern
pent porch and small oriel bay, Two early C19 sash windows with glazing bars.
Left return wall of large galleted malmstone blocks, with a few courses of very
narrow bricks above. Two modern but seemly gable-ended extensions behind. On
right return 2 small 3-light windows with brick mullions and hoodmoulds and fixed
leaded lights, one original, the other a copy.
