House. Mid-late C18. Coursed rubble. (Stone painted 1981.) Stone slate roof.
Stone coping, moulded kneelers and gutter corbels. Double pile plan. Two storeys, and 2 window
bays. 2 tripartite sash windows, broad centre light. Square stone mullions
(recessed) and window surrounds. Doorway slightly to left, has fluted Doric
pilasters, triglyph frieze and pediment. Rear has round-headed stair window
with impost blocks and keystone, but fixed glazing. Gable stacks. RCHM reports
staircase with turned balusters and closed string. Probably built c1762 for the
minister of the adjoining chapel. (90/p170/RCHM).
