5/10 Purdie's Farmhouse

-

- II

Early Cl7. 2 storeys, 3 windows. Red tile roof, shafted stack. Red brick
walling, mainly English bond but Flemish bond at the west side. Cambered
ground-floor openings and high plinth to older part. Casements. Modern
small porch. Inside there are heavy beams, suggesting that the building
has had one (eastern) bay removed and another (western) added. The entrance
is on one side of the massive chimney breast, and staircase on the other
side. Said to have been built contemporaneously with Bramshill House.
