Farmhouse. Circa C17; remodelled and extended in the C19. Timber-framed, partly rebuilt and
refaced in brick, north front rendered. Plain tile roof with gabled ends. Brick axial stack. PLAN:
3-room-plan; the parlour and kitchen to right and left of a central axial stack with back-to-back
fireplaces and entrance lobby at the front; small unheated room on left [east] end. Late in the C19
a porch was added at the front and a long wing was built at the back. EXTERIOR: 2 storeys and
attic. Asymmetrical 2-window north front, windows disposed to the right. C19 casements with
glazing bars, ground floor 3 lights, first floor 2 lights and with small gables above; at centre late C19
gabled timber-framed porch. Long C19 red brick wing at rear incorporates some earlier brickwork.
INTERIOR: Stopped chamfer axial ceiling beams and exposed joists. Partition between left and
centre rooms has exposed headbeam and large studs.
