SU 75 NE HARTLEY WINTNEY

5/25 Arlots Farmhouse

Cl7, early C19. 2 storeys, 1 porch 2:1 windows. An old timber-framed centre,
with much alteration, and wing set each end of circa 1820. Red tile roof, higher
end blocks project forward slightly as gables with bargeboards; 2 massive stacks.
The walling in the centre is in English bond red brickwork, the wings in Flemish
bond, brick hood-moulds to 6 windows, cambered openings to ground floor wings,
cement plinth. Casements. A gabled 2-storeyed porch at the west side of the
centrepiece is timber-framed and has a 4-centre arch and a plinth. The rear
(north) is less regular, with 4 gables of varied projection, one having exposed
timbers; also a low eaves in the older part, and a single-storeyed outshot.
