Late Cl6. Timber frame and roughcast. 2-storeys and attics. Projecting
wing on right hand has a gabled upper storey oversailing on exposed soffits
and curved angle posts; carved barge boards; the gable head has curved braces.
Main block has large gabled dormers. 2 wood mullioned windows, the remainder
modern, with Art Nouveau glass. Modern doorcase. Old tiles.

The Old Chestnut Tree, Post Office and Stores, The Homestead, The Lidhole and
Staddlestone Cottage form a group.
