Canal warehouse. Now offices. Early C19 for Samuel Oldknow.
Dressed stone with graduated stone slate roof. 7 x 3 bays
with 2 storeys to front and 3 on canal side. Each bay has a
round-headed 2-light C20 casement window on each floor. Bay
4 is advanced and has loading bays and a jib with canopy
above. Left gable has 5 similar windows, a semi-elliptical
arched doorway, eaves level stone band, a blind arched attic
light and ridge chimney stack. The right gable has 2
shipping holes, one now blocked, with semi-circular arches
and dripmoulds, 6 windows as above and a blind arched attic
light. 3 tiers of similar windows to canal elevation with
similar loading bays on first and second floors and a canopy
over.
