House, formerly farmhouse. C18, with C19 and C20 alterations
and additions. Coursed squared and squared rubble gritstone
with quoins, ashlar dressings, ashlar ridge and gable stacks
and stone slated roof. South-west elevation of 2 storeys and 3
bays, with off-centre doorway with massive stone surround,
deep lintel, and C20 boarded door. Either side of the doorway
are stacked 2-light flush-mullioned windows, with margin light
sashes. At the south-east end there is the stub wall of a
former adjoining building, and a gable wall of rubble
gritstone. Rear elevation has wing of one-and-a-half storeys,
with catslide roof extension, extending to line of north-west
gable, and with doorway at junction of wing and main range.
Rear wing partially conceals C18 mullioned window.
INTERIOR contains late C18 hearths, and exposed ceiling beams;
the plan is little disturbed.
