Row of 5 cottages, now 4 cottages. Late C18, extensively
remodelled 1836. Red brick, some ashlar and rubble. Plain tile
roof. 2 ridge and 2 lateral red brick stacks. Dogtooth eaves.
Dentil and raised brick first floor band. 2 storeys, 12 bays.
The single bay sixth from the right is gabled, being brick coped
with kneelers and single ridge finial. The single right bay and
the left 2 bays project and are gabled, that on the left with
brick coped gable with kneelers and single ridge finial, these 2
bays also have a rubble plinth in parts. Having from left to
right a single casement, a doorway with part glazed door, a
blocked doorway, 2 tripartite casements, a doorway with C20 door,
an archway with wooden gate, a doorway with part glazed door, 2
tripartite casements, a blocked doorway and a single casement.
Above are 4 tripartite casements and in the outer gabled wings
single smaller casements. In the apex of the central gable is a
painted plaque decorated with crests and inscribed "1836", In
each apex of the outer gabled wings are single oval recessed
blind panels. All openings with ashlar lintels. Included for
group value only.
