House. Mid C18 for William or Thomas Roscoe, restored 1972.
Flemish bond brick with ashlar dressings and slate roof.
Double-depth 4-bay plan with a 2-storey wing at the rear
originally constructed as a cotton manufactory. Bays 1, 2
and 4 have restored tripartite sash window on each floor
with stone sills and flat brick arches. Bay 3 has a 6-panel
door with decorated fanlight, 3/4 columns, an open pediment,
and a sash window above. Dentilled eaves cornice, hipped
roof and 2 large brick chimney stacks. Arched stair window
to rear and 3-bay wing with cambered arch casement windows.
