Milepost. Late C19. Cast iron. Hollow-backed, triangular-sectioned post with
sloping top plate and raised lettering:

on top plate : "BULMER/WEST/H.D.";
on left side : pointing hand and "HELMSLEY/11/MILES"
on right side : pointing hand and "YORK/12/MILES"
