Bathing pavilion adjacent to lake on Wintershall Estate

II

Bathing pavilion. Second half C19. Rubblestone. Thick-walled, circular
altered, pavilion with arched entrance and circular vent at apex. Inside, the
floor is tiled, the walls patterned with coloured and encaustic tiles, and the
dome has coloured tile ribs with head-decorated medallions. A low tiled bench
runs round the pavilion. The building probably was used as a changing room,
situated as it is near the lake. Formerly there were statues set around it.
Overgrown and in state of disrepair at time of listing.
