Plan: South west facing. Approximately rectangular, symmetrical plan with
short left and right wings projecting to the front, each originally heated

principal room in the centre. The left end stack has a truncated shaft.
Details of plan unclear on survey as access to rear elevation and interior
unobtainable.

Exterior: 2 storeys. Gabled roofs with shaped bargeboards, crested ridge and
deep eaves on shaped brackets. Symmetrical 1:3:1-bay front, the outer bays
the gable ends of the wings, the centre bay gabled to the front. Elaborate
polychromatic detail with the window voussoirs in contrasting colours and the
verges of the left and right gables decorated with a terra cotta frieze
forming a pear-shaped pattern. Windows glazed with 2-pane plate glass sashes.
3 ground floor cnetre windows slightly recessed below polychromatic segmental
arched voussoirs. Canted bay windows to the ground floor of the gabled
projections with sandstone heads. Slate roofs with deep eaves, surmounted by
wrought iron railings. The bays have French windows in the centre with
segmental arched doors below an overlight and 2-pane flanking sashes. Triple
round-headed windows above the bays, the centre window wider, all with
polychromatic voussoirs. The centre window in the main block is recessed
below a segmental polychromatic arch. The gable over has a timber pendant.

Interior: Access unobtainable at time of survey but original features may
survive.

A C19 villa with a particularly attractive and lively polychromatic exterior.
