A house constructed of mediaeval and later fragments brought from other sites.
3 storeys timber-framed with plaster infill. Curved braces. Old tiled roof.
Exposed joists and finely moulded bressumers with scrollwork and coil moulding.
Windows are continuous lancets with leaded lights. Ground floor has a central
restored doorcase with plain spandrels. Ground floor windows are double lancets
with Victorian Tudor Rose ornaments between the two. The 1st floor has 2
fine Mediaeval grotesque carved brackets The ground floor has 2 Sun Fire
Office plaques of 1710. The side elevation is tile hung with a gable and
has 2 tiny lancets. The interior has moulded beams and 2 stone arches. Historic
Building of Kent plaque.
Nos 1, 2 and Nos 4 to 8 (consec) form a group.
