House, possibly converted from an outbuilding. Probably late C18.
Roughly-coursed rubble with brick projections; stone-flagged roof with brick
stack. 2½ storeys, 2 bays, the right bay largely hidden by a short projection
linking No. 9 to the left return of No. 11 at right-angles. Left bay has
half-glazed door with panelled base and flanking, matching sidelights, the
whole of 6.9 and 6 panes under timber lintel. First floor 20-pane sash in
wood box frame under old timber lintel. Second floor shorter 15-pane similar
sash in raking half dormer. Both windows have horizontally-reeded stone
cills. Right bay blank but for blocked doorway up a flight of stone steps cut
off at the bottom; timber lintel and stone cill. Small fixed light in
projection. Low-pitched roof with old brick left end chimney. Recently
renovated. Included for group value only.
